Cleptomania

Today on the Orange Line Adara tried to remove a cell phone from the hand of an unsuspecting passenger standing at the door of the train. The woman looked around, in surprise and defense, to confront the culprit, only to find little Adara in the back seat of the double stroller happily reaching for her phone, and pointing and calling out for it. Of course, once she saw who the "thief" was, she obligingly played along, and even handed the phone to Adara at one point, which she quickly realized was a mistake!

It was pretty darn cute, all in all.

Adara's also pulling up to stand on her own now. She's not exactly cruising, but she's (at times) somewhat mobile while standing. She particularly likes to stand at windows to look out. But she's also standing in her crib, at the gates, and pulling up on other structures that either invite or impede her desired path of motion. (But as I write this she's now standing at the plastic chest of drawers, retrieving books. So perhaps she's well on her way to standing anywhere she pleases now!)

More later.
